This is one of the oldest ribbons given for the armed forces. It was established in the year 1869. There are basically four versions of this medal. The first medal was not to be worn with the uniform as it was being issued along with the discharge papers in order to signify a badge to be present during their retirement. The last issued one was from 1888 by the US Navy. It is the 3rd issue of the USS constitution fidelity obedience. One can add this to their collection. All the new stock is available online.
